Day 1 and Day 2 are run consecutively, however weather conditions or other external factors may force us to postpone the second one (Ocean Day).


ABOUT


Our Freediver course is your first step into the world of exploring the open ocean, on one breath. You will be given the knowledge and techniques to truly discover what you are capable of and what your body is built to do.

Day 1 our instructors will guide you through the Theory of Freediving, a breath and meditation workshop, yoga for Freediving and A pool skills session to teach you the fundamental techniques needed to become a competent and safe freediver.

Day 2 we will head out to explore the blue open ocean to dive to a minimum depth of 10m, explore the natural wildlife and practice your newfound skills.

By the end of this course, you will achieve.

  • A static Breath hold of minimum 1’30”
  • A dynamic Apnea of 25m | 30m
  • A constant weight dive to 10-16m | 10-20m
  • A competent pool and ocean rescue


COURSE PREREQUISITES 


To enrol in our Freediver course you:

  • Must be 12 years old or older.
  • Must be able to swim 200 meters.
  • Have no medical conditions related to this activity.

No prior experience with snorkelling, skin diving or freediving is required.


No Gear? NO PROBLEM

We have 5mm wetsuits and long fins for rent at $15 each per day. Just select the right options or let us know a few days before your course.

WHAT TO BRING:

This is the equipment you will need for this course:
– Mask and snorkel.
– Fins – long fins preferred.
– Wetsuit – 3mm or more.
– Freediving (rubber) weight-belt.
– Towel. 

If don’t have your own, you can rent or borrow it from us:
– Mask and snorkel.                              Free
– Plastic long fins.                                 $AU15 / day
– Wetsuit 5mm.                                     $AU15 / day
– Freediving (rubber) weight-belt.         Free
