Nestled within a natural bush setting and located just 20 minutes from the Adelaide city centre, Cleland Wildlife Park wows local, interstate and overseas guests with an up-close and immersive nature experience like no other.

Operated By:

Cleland Wildlife Park has been a major tourist attraction in South Australia since 1967, providing the perfect setting for guests to be guided by nature and commence a journey of discovery, which transforms the way they connect with our iconic native wildlife, and appreciation of nature in general.

With over 130 species of native animals including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, potoroos, emus, reptiles and birds, Cleland Wildlife Park offers a wide range of opportunities to get close to some of South Australia’s most iconic
wildlife, and the keepers who care for them.

Cleland Wildlife Park is bigger than you may expect covering over 35 hectares, and one of the unique features of the park is the open spaces and very few animal enclosures.

Pick up a bag of animal food from the admissions counter when you arrive.  It is the best way to get up-close to the
kangaroos, emus, wallabies, potoroos and waterfowl as you make your way around the park.

The park is open rain or shine (except on Christmas Day or on days with a catastrophic fire danger rating).  Don’t forget your sunscreen in summer, and in winter warm-up around the open fire in our Barking Gecko Café.  Be sure to visit our Gift Shop.

Cleland Wildlife Park is within the Cleland Conservation Park, which prohibits pets (excluding guide dogs).
