Your passionate First Nations guide will lead you on a walk that meanders through stunning locations within Centennial Parklands, demonstrating traditional plant use and identifying bush food sources. At the end of your tour enjoy a picnic-style bush food inspired morning tea.

Follow in the footsteps of First Nations people and discover the significant connection between land and culture. Learn how to incorporate native Australian bush foods with everyday ingredients. Use a coolamon to gather seasonal fruits, seeds, berries, native vegetables and plants before learning about Aboriginal food preparation methods and tasting bush food infused recipes.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General • Shared Knowledge provides Experience Bookings and Catering Orders collectively referred herein as “bookings/orders” and “booking/order”. • All prices quoted in AUD and are GST inclusive. • All bookings/orders subject to availability. • All private group bookings/orders subject to a minimum spend of $1500.00. Private Group bookings require a minimum of 20 participants. • All participants joining an experience with Shared Knowledge do so at their own risk. Shared Knowledge accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, any personal injury, loss and/or damage to property), howsoever arising out of, or in any way connected to the Experience. • All Shared Knowledge experiences are all-weather activities. We reserve the right to change or alter an experience safety reasons or in extreme weather conditions. Any amendment to the tour itinerary will not entitle a participant to a refund or reduction in price. • We reserve the right to stop any of our participants from continuing to participate in an experience if they breach our safety standards, or if the participant is behaving in an unacceptable manner or are affected by any substance, or if we have any concern about the participant’s safety or the safety of others, at our sole discretion. • Notwithstanding anything else in these Terms and Conditions, and to the extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of Shared Knowledge to the participant for all events giving rise to liability arising out of these terms and conditions, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), indemnity or otherwise and including for personal injury, death or damage to property, will be limited to amounts paid by the participant to Shared Knowledge in respect of the participant’s attendance on the experience. In no event shall Shared Knowledge be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or economical lost, cost, liability, damage or expense howsoever arising. • We encourage our customers to purchase travel insurance. Images and Video • Please kindly note that no video footage is allowed to be taken during our experiences, unless by prior application and approval of footage and use. Shared Knowledge owned images can only be used with prior consent for marketing purposes. Workplace Health & Safety • Shared Knowledge recognises its moral and legal responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, customers, contractors and visitors. This commitment extends to ensuring that our business operations do not place the local community at risk of injury, illness or property damage. Experience Booking / Order Timing • We allow for extra travel time to get to every event to cover for small incidents that may occur in transit. However, the customer hereby expressly acknowledges that Shared Knowledge cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances such as major road incidents, road closures, floods, fire etc that prevent us from arriving on time despite our best efforts to do so. In these cases, Shared Knowledge will communicate with you, the customer, and advise of the circumstances causing the delay and an estimated time of arrival. Extreme Weather conditions • In the event of Extreme Weather conditions, Shared Knowledge may cancel, modify or reschedule the booking/order without incurring any liability to the participants by providing notice to the participating group, as soon as practicable. If the booking/order is cancelled due to an extreme weather condition, Shared Knowledge will refund any payments made by the participating group to Shared Knowledge, deducting any administration fee or any other non-refundable costs incurred in relation to the event. • If the customer considers that the booking/order needs to be cancelled or modified due to any health conditions of any participants affected by or in relation to any extreme weather condition, they shall notify Shared Knowledge as soon as practicable. • For avoidance of doubt, the customer may not cancel or modify the booking/order without Shared Knowledge’s approval. Booking Confirmation and Payment Terms • Online Bookings o Purchase of a ticket online is final and requires payment in full at the time of booking. Participants are required to bring a soft or hard copy of their online booking confirmation to the scheduled experience. • Groups Bookings (Schools, Vacation cares, Private Group Bookings and Catering Orders) o Group bookings are made via enquiry form and email with a Shared Knowledge Bookings Officer. A booking confirmation email will be sent with an invoice. o A 50% deposit is required to secure catering orders and experience bookings. Cash and cheque payments are not accepted. Payment may be made by credit card and direct debit only. o A booking/order date is not secured until deposit payment has been received. o Payment in full must be received a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the booking/order date or if the booking is made within this time-period, immediate payment is to be made via Credit Card when the invoice has been sent. o If payment for any booking/order reaches seven (7) days overdue in our system (as per the invoice due date), then a 5% surcharge will be added to your existing overdue invoice. This 5% surcharge will continue to be charged every 7 days until payment has been made. A Merchant Fee of 2.5% applies to credit card payments. Cancellations, Date Changes & Refunds • Shared Knowledge reserves the right to cancel any booking/order in case of extreme weather conditions or if minimum participation numbers are not met. • Refunds will not be provided for late arrivals, or no shows. • Online bookings: o No refunds apply for cancellation of tickets purchased online. o A request for a date change can be made in writing no less than 48 hours prior to the program commencement time. Approval of a date change is at the discretion of Shared Knowledge and subject to availability. • Schools Bookings: o We require notice in writing at least eight (8) business days prior to the booked session for cancellations, number changes and rescheduling requests, unless it is due to extreme weather condition. o Cancellations (including change of date) received less than eight (8) business days prior to the booked session, and ‘no shows’ will incur a cancellation fee of the minimum charge per hired educator. o Requests to change the number of booked participants received less than eight (8) business days prior to the booked session will incur the minimum charge per group/class or the charge per attending participant, whichever is greater. • Group Bookings (except schools): o Cancellation fees: 100% within 72 hours of the experience booking/order date 50% within 7 Days of the experience booking/order date 25% within 1 month of the experience booking/order date o Cancellation fees in Peak Periods (ie NRW, NAIDOC week, IBM, December and January bookings): 100% within 7days of the experience booking/order date 50% within 21 Days of the experience booking/order date 25% within 2 months of the experience booking/order date • Changes to Booking/Order o $50 fee per change request applies. This includes change of date, venue, time, inclusions, number of participants. o Rescheduling: Date changes are subject to availability • Group Numbers: o Participant/catering numbers can be increased after confirmation at fourteen (14) days, but not decreased. Invoice adjustments will be made accordingly. Notification of increased numbers would be appreciated as early as possible so that we can arrange the required additional food, equipment, packaging, staff and/or services.
