Abyssinia Rock is a hidden gem on the Bibbulmun Track and a real a treat to explore!
This 11km hike begins by taking you slightly uphill through dense jarrah and she-oak bushland, filled with grass trees, banksias and a variety of wildflowers. After a couple of kms the trail narrows and starts to wind across a ridge, a break in the trees to the south gives you a glimpse of the amazing views to come! Following the Wagyl, you begin to make your way downhill to the giant granite dome – Abyssinia Rock!
Join Off The Beaten Track WA as we guide you on an 11km hike complete with awe-inspiring views of the Monadnocks of the Darling Range and a delicious and nutritious morning tea on the Abysinnia Rock Hiking Experience!

Includes: Guided training hike, nutritious morning tea, complimentary use of hiking poles, sunscreen & repellant, access to hike photographs and a great time with like-minded people!
Fitness level: Total hike distance is 11kms, the terrain is relatively flat and graded as level 3 terrain. There is one short ascent/descent but the rest of the terrain is quite flat and even. We recommend sturdy shoes with good grip. The trail is achievable for most people with a reasonable level of fitness but no hiking experience necessary.
What to Bring? 2-3ltrs water, camera, a good attitude and big smile!

WHERE TO MEET?
Google Maps search ‘Brookton Hwy Bibbulmun Track’ will lead you to 12kms past the Ashendon Rd turn off along Brookton Hwy. Here the powerlines and Bibbulmun Track crossed the road. Park on the right hand side on the gravel. Please arrive 15mins before your tour departs for
registration and safety brief.
WHAT TO BRING?
Backpack with 2-3ltrs water, camera, personal first aid/medications, rain coat
(just in case), a good attitude and big smile!
