Attire. Comfortable clothing and dressing in layers, a snug fitting cap, sunglasses with safety strap and sunblock is recommended. Charter’s guests are to wear soft soled, non- marking shoes.
Catering. Clients are welcome to bring food and drinks. The boats are equipped with plates, bowls, cups etc, which you are welcome to use provided they are washed after use.
Alcohol and Behaviour. Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to board the vessel under any circumstances and should the Charter’s group exhibit signs of intoxication prior to boarding, the Captain reserves the right to cancel your charter without refund. Unruly behaviour, by members of the Charter’s group, to the extent that Operator, in his sole discretion, in the interests of the safety of the vessel and other passengers and its crew, decides that the Charter must be terminated early. It is an offence for individuals to carry open liquor from the vessel on disembarkation particularly at public areas such as the King Street Wharf precinct and therefore 15 minutes before the end of the Charter, BYO alcohol service shall cease so that all bottles and cans can be repacked into covered receptacles for removal by the Charterer.
Duration. Charter includes the time taken to embark and disembark passengers. The Operator is not responsible for any delays caused by the late arrival of passengers or delays at the wharf caused by crowds, the arrival of other vessels or any other reasons beyond its control. It is similarly not responsible for delays at the point of disembarkation for reasons outside its control. The Operator reserves the right to pull into the point of disembarkation 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time for disembarkation, at which point noise aboard will be minimised. If the time for disembarking passengers is 15 minutes maximum, The Charterer may be charged for overtime at pro rata rate of the charter fee.
Safety Briefing. The Captain will provide a safety and operations briefing prior to departure.
Damage / Marine Toilet / Cleaning. Any loss or damage to the yacht or equipment will be charged. A charge of $250 will be charged if the toilet is blocked by Charter’s group.
Indemnity. The Charterer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Operator, its agents and employees, from and against any and all losses, claims, actions, costs expenses, fees, damages, fines and liabilities (including reasonable legal fees) caused by any negligent act or omission by the Charterer or Charterer’s group.
Force Majeure. The Operator will be free from liability for failing to perform hereunder due to industrial action, unsuitable weather conditions, technical problems or other events beyond The Operator’s reasonable control. The charter’s booking will be postponed and rescheduled within a 6-month period.
Vessel. The Operator reserves the right to change a charterer’s booked vessel to another vessel of similar size and/or style as possible or cancel or postpone any booking.
Booking Confirmation. Bookings cannot be confirmed until a 100% deposit is received.
Payments. Are made online www.saltyboathire.com or invoiced from The Operator.
Postponements. Bookings can be postponed with 14 days written notice. Rescheduled date needs to be booked with The Operator but is subject to availability. Rescheduled dates are to be inside of 6 months from the original booked date and time and may be subject to an administration fee of $100.
Postponement within 14 days by client. All moneys paid by the charterer shall be forfeited.
Postponements within 24 hours of booked date due to inclement or unsafe weather. (as determined on the day and approved by The Captain or Operator). The total cost of skipper and crew, catering and wharf fee applies to the Charter. The charter can be rebooked within 6 months of the original booking, after which the credit will expire.
Refunds. The Operator does not refund charter fees under any circumstances.
Special Covid 19 booking conditions. If COVID-19 restrictions imposed by either the State or Federal Government prevent the Charter from going ahead on the date planned, The Charter will be offered either a postponement to another available date within a year, or a full refund less a $100 administration fee. Any irreversible expenses incurred by the charter vessel operator for this particular charter, such as wharf fees, catering already prepared, or any associated fees will be to the expense of the Charterer.
